DJ Kinetic - Aussie Funk Vol. 1 (2006)
I put this mix together back in 2006 because i wanted to do something to showcase the time and effort I'd put in to tracking down and discovering some of the best funky music that Australia produced. I was heavily influenced at the time by Creative Vibes' Respect Overdue compilation series which sought to do the same thing. Peter Pascal - a founding member of the CV label - later became a good friend of mine as a result of our common interest in Aussie Funk.
The front cover of this mix actually depicts each and every record used in the mix, in order, but with one mistake - I think George Golla and Arena are switched around the wrong way for some reason!
